Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt.
Cooking
  1. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
